Ian Munsick w/ Ryan Charles @ The Grizzly Rose

I am absolutely in love with Ian Munsick live. He puts on one hell of a show & this one was SOLD OUT to the MAX. The demand he brought….he’ll for sure be playing Red Rocks next year.

The first thing I wanted to write about from the show was that Ian helped a couple get engaged during his set…AND ugh I just love love. This is now the second proposal I’ve seen at a show in the past couple months (re: Hoodie Allen) when I hadn’t seen one after going to shows for 10+ years. It was the cutest ever and I will never stop gushing over other people being happy.

Prior to Ian’s set though, he brought his own opener, Ryan Charles (aka jiggybuckaroo). He’s described as a western rapper…and what a different vibe and energy, especially at a country music venue. Granted, I think there was some controversy in the crowd in terms of the likeness of this style of music. However, me being a girl who likes to bump and grind, drop it low, & all that jazz, I absolutely LOVED it. That’s probably why his photo gallery is a little smaller than normal because all I was doing was DANCING MY HEART OUT.

When it comes to Ian’s set, I could talk about what a great voice he has (because he does). But I want to touch on the genuine & humble feeling I got from his stage presence. Now I know getting on stage can allow someone to have a different energy or facade, but I swear I just got the most genuine vibe from watching him up there on stage. He was smiling basically the entire set, messing around with his band mates. Ian, you have gained a new fan in me.

Slamabama

Slamabama also opened & was the house band that week at The Grizzly Rose. The female and male singer are husband and wife (how adorable), she had amazing boots on (clearly had to snap a pic). It was also the drummers birthday the day of this show so a fan bought him a beer to celebrate.
