Anjunadeep Open Air took over Red Rocks Amphitheatre on November 3rd, 2024 in Morrison, CO. The show mesmerized the audience with its captivating blends of deep house and ethereal vibes. The lineup was absolutely staked with artists Rezident, Romain Garcia, CRi, Nils Hoffmann, Dosem b2b Qrion, and Marsh.
Rezident
With house, electro, techno, or dance music as a whole, there’s a specific sweet spot where a tune can just as easily be rinsed on a hazy dancefloor as it can be received like a looping spiritual mantra, bridging a most unique gap between celebration and therapy. Rezident, the project of emerging 25-year-old producer David Roif of Karlsruhe, the city in Germany’s southern Baden-Württemberg state. He demonstrates that electronic music best sustains itself when these separate entities interlock. He cites a consistent flow of Deadmau5, which influenced him growing up, and takes notes from progressive canons like Bicep.
Like his counterparts growing up in the technologically-accessible 2010’s, Rezident downloaded various music programs on his Windows PC laptop at the age of 12, eager to concoct his own melodies after hearing a ringtone his sister’s friend composed on her Nokia cellphone. There, he gathered essential production techniques, like layering, streamlining, & learning when to walk away from a track for a while. Today, at points in his intimate but expanding discography, reverberating chords informed by deep house accents whirl in and out, only to have sharp hi-hats and intermittent whooshes sober the ethereality. Such instances mark Rezident’s desire for a more minimal and honest approach to track-producing. One which contrasts from his earlier school of beatmaking, self-described as “commercial,” trusting the project and himself.

Romain Garcia
Having graduated in graphic arts, Romain Garcia was born in Paris of Spanish origin. He has always drawn from his numerous influences, whether cultural or artistic.
Romain has DJ’d since he was 15 years old. A fan of techno, especially melodic, he sent a demo to Ben Böhmer during the quarantine. Ben immediately hooked on his soaring style, full of exotic sounds, triturated voices samples, plated on hypnotic & dancing rhythms.
This artistic crush led to a collaboration, that’s how “Cappadocia” was born. This was the first track Romain Garcia released on Cercle Records in 2020, already accumulating more than 15 million streams. The single “White Flag” was released afterwards, on the German label Ton Topferei. Then followed by his first EP, “Syamo” that led to Romain being scouted by Anjunadeep, where he signed for 3 EPs.

Marsh
Some artists exude total and unapologetic passion for their craft. Full immersion, absolute dedication and complete commitment; a calling much more than a career, a love much more than a labour, the realisation of a lifelong ambition.
An ambition like Tom Marshall’s. A fan favourite on the roster of renowned UK label Anjunadeep and one of the breakout stars of the melodic house scene, Marsh has sculpted a distinctly warm, emotional sound since he first emerged in the mid-2010s. Inspired by his teenage love of the emotionally rich, early 2000s trance sound and the musicality of crossover drum & bass acts like Pendulum, he’s distilled these disparate influences into a captivating and soulful signature style.
As well as building a stellar reputation as a producer, Tom has established himself as one of a new generation of DJs set to follow in the footsteps of progressive house pioneers such as Eric Prydz and Sasha. With memorable headline sets at prestigious venues such as Printworks London and The Brooklyn Mirage already under his belt, this is the life that Tom has been working towards since he made his first beats a decade ago.
Since moving away from his UK roots to his current home in North America, and the nomadic, perpetually-touring lifestyle that has followed, Tom has written a new album, his third, released in March 2023 on Anjunadeep in 2023.
