Friday Pilots Club

On May 1, 2025, the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado, hosted an electrifying night of indie rock, headlined by Chicago’s Friday Pilots Club. The evening commenced with a performance by local act Diva Cup, setting the stage with their dynamic energy. Following them, Liverpool’s Circa Waves delivered a set that energized the crowd with their melodic and propulsive rock sound. The night culminated with Friday Pilots Club captivating the audience with their soulfully moody and sonically textured guitar-based music, showcasing tracks from their 2024 debut album, Nowhere.

Drawing inspiration from punk, garage rock, and riot grrrl influences, the band blends gritty guitar riffs with emotionally charged vocals and rebellious lyricism. Their songs often explore themes of identity, angst, and liberation, resonating with fans who crave authenticity and edge.

The group has built a loyal following in the Colorado DIY and indie circuits, playing packed local venues and supporting national acts. Their live performances are chaotic, cathartic, and full of electric stage presence, making every show feel like a communal release. As they continue to gain momentum with new singles and festival appearances, Diva Cup is carving out a fierce, feminist-forward space in the modern indie landscape.

Circa Waves

Known for their high-energy performances and catchy songwriting, Circa Waves evolved with albums like Different Creatures (2017) and Sad Happy (2020), both showcasing growth in their sound and lyrical themes. In 2023, they released Never Going Under, a bold and reflective record followed by Death & Love Pt.1 in 2025. The latter features deeper emotional tones, shaped in part by frontman Shudall’s recovery from emergency heart surgery.
