Husbands @ Aggie Theatre

Husbands absolutely rocked their show at Aggie Theater in Fort Collins, CO on March 9, 2024. With Support from Spinster and Being Dead, the energy in the space was impeccable and truly made for a beautiful night.

Spinster

Spinster is a folk-rock band fronted by Jo Babb (of folk duo Companion) based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Spinster’s sound weaves elements of folk-rock with indie pop sensibilities, with a distinct emphasis on songwriting that feels at once lighthearted and fiercely vulnerable.

Being Dead

Falcon Bitch and Gumball are best friends. The Texas-based multi-instrumentalists love to make up elaborate tales of their first meeting: as chimney sweeps in the mid-1700s, as shoemakers in Middle England, as competing acrobats in a traveling circus. It’s a testament to their ever-playful attitude—one that pours over into their project, Being Dead, in which the band toes the line between jest and sincerity. The nurturing foundation of these platonic soulmates urges both Falcon Bitch and Gumball to be their full, freaky selves, prodding at the absurdity of the world with slick n’ dreamy strums, gritty percussion, and kaleidoscopic harmonies.

Husbands

Husbands in an indie pop band based out of Oklahoma City. Their landlocked beach pop tunes incorporate surfy guitar and dreamy garage rock to create the unique sound they’ve got today. Danny Davis and Wil Norton, both providing vocals and guitar in the group, first got to know each other while directing a Godzilla musical in college. What started out as a mutual interest in live performance and indie pop has flourished into the refreshing and wonderfully good time that the band Husbands is now.
