On March 12, 2025, the iconic Ogden Theatre in Denver hosedt a night of powerhouse vocals and raw emotion as JoJo took the stage. The R&B-pop sensation, known for hits like “Too Little Too Late” and “Leave (Get Out)”, continues to captivate audiences with her signature blend of soulful storytelling and dynamic vocal range. Opening the night was rising star Emmy Meli, whose breakout hit “I AM WOMAN” has made waves in the music industry with its empowering message.
Emmy Meli
Emmy Meli, born Emily Lomeli on December 14, 1999, in Torrance, California is an American R&B-pop singer-songwriter renowned for her soulful vocals and empowering lyrics. Growing up in Long Beach, California as an only child, she immersed herself in the arts from a young age, drawing inspiration from her father’s love for jazz and artists like Barbara Lewis and Lauryn Hill.
Meli gained widespread recognition with her 2021 viral hit “I Am Woman,” a feminist anthem that amassed over 300 million streams and became the theme song for Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes. She has graced stages at major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Firefly, and has opened for artists like JoJo and Hayley Kiyoko. Her debut EP, Hello Stranger, released on May 10, 2024, showcases seven tracks reflecting seven years of her life, including a cover of Barbara Lewis’ 1961 R&B hit. Continuing her artistic evolution, Meli released her latest single, “God’s Favorite,” in March 2025, delivering a powerful message of self-love and empowerment.

JoJo, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like Leave (Get Out) and Too Little Too Late. Born Joanna Levesque, she became the youngest solo artist to top the Billboard Pop Songs chart at just 13. Over the years, she evolved her sound, blending R&B, soul, and pop while fiercely advocating for artistic independence.
After breaking free from a restrictive label contract, JoJo re-recorded her early albums and released Good to Know (2020) and Trying Not to Think About It (2021). She won a Grammy in 2020 for her collaboration on Say So with PJ Morton. Recently, she’s been touring and connecting with fans through heartfelt, powerhouse performances, including her March 12, 2025, show at Denver’s Ogden Theatre.
