On May 9, 2025, Eastside Bowl in Nashville transformed into a haven for indie rock enthusiasts as Joywave headlined their “Here To Perform…” Spring 2025 tour. The evening commenced with Little Image, who delivered an engaging set that blended atmospheric textures with infectious rhythms, effectively setting the tone for the night. Joywave then took the stage, captivating the audience with a dynamic performance that showcased tracks from their latest album, Permanent Pleasure, along with fan favorites like “Tongues” and “Somebody New.” Their setlist highlighted the band’s evolution, combining sharp lyricism with genre-blending sounds, leaving the Nashville crowd energized and eager for more.
Little Image
Little Image is a Dallas-based alt-pop trio known for blending indie rock with electronic and synth-pop elements. The band consists of Jackson Simmons (vocals/guitar), Brandon Walters (bass/synth), and Troy Bruner (drums). Formed in 2017, they began as a group of high school friends with a shared passion for underground indie music. Their early work, including the debut album Musings, showcased their raw energy and evolving sound.
In 2020, the band took a step back to refine their musical direction. The pandemic provided them with the time needed to develop their unique style. This period of introspection led to a partnership with producer Chad Copelin, resulting in their self-titled debut album released in May 2023. The album’s standout track, “OUT OF MY MIND,” became their first #1 hit on the Alternative Radio Chart.
Following the album’s success, Little Image embarked on a U.S. headline tour and made appearances at major festivals such as Shakey Knees and Wonderbus Music & Arts Festival. In early 2025, they released “THE PRESSURE,” a track that delves into themes of anxiety and emotional burnout, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their musical journey.

Joywave
Joywave is an American indie rock band that formed in 2010 in Rochester, New York. The core lineup includes frontman Daniel Armbruster (vocals), Joseph Morinelli (guitar), and Paul Brenner (drums). With a style that blurs the lines between indie rock, electropop, and experimental pop, Joywave quickly made waves with their distinctive blend of catchy melodies, glitchy textures, and thoughtful lyrics. Their breakout moment came in 2013 when they collaborated with Big Data on the single “Dangerous,” which topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and introduced their sound to a national audience.
Following that momentum, Joywave released their debut album How Do You Feel Now? in 2015, earning acclaim for its innovative production and irreverent tone. Albums like Content (2017) and Possession (2020) further solidified their place in the alt-rock world, with tracks that balanced introspective storytelling and electronic experimentation. In 2022, Cleanse delivered a more polished, emotionally grounded project, reflecting themes of resilience and self-reflection after years of global uncertainty.
In May 2024, the band returned with their fifth studio album, Permanent Pleasure, continuing to push sonic boundaries while maintaining their signature wit and sharp songwriting. Their live shows are known for high energy, offbeat humor, and immersive visuals, which have earned them a devoted fanbase. Now touring on their 2025 “Here to Perform…” tour with support from Little Image, Joywave shows no signs of slowing down. With each release, they continue redefining what it means to be an alternative band in the modern music landscape.
