MisterWives @ Mission Ballroom

Owwweeeeee MisterWives always brings the heat to their live shows. They brought the “Don’t Look Down” tour to Denver on October 1, 2023 and absolutely blew the socks off of Mission Ballroom. Supporting MisterWives was Bishop Briggs and Natalie Jane. A victory for the ladies!!! This was their first tour lineup featuring all women – we love to see it.

Natalie Jane

Who the f*ck is Natalie Jane (an ode to her song Ava!!!)? Welp, let me tell you this gal can SANG. Her pipes bursting out the seems. She was spunky and her style is top notch (she wore moon shoes HOW COOL). I am still thinking about her vocals (over a week later!).

Bishop Briggs

Bishop got up on that stage and commanded it in its entirety. My favorite part of the set is when she brought up being on the masked singer and sheepishly told the audience that she won. She “shyly” encouraged crowd to cheer for her win, and we did. It was in a joking, non cocky way and absolutely something I would do myself. Safe to say I loved it. Her energy was infectious & a fan even gave her a tiny stuffed animal that she hugged tightly, showing her appreciation and love for the gift.

MisterWives

I have so many things to say and also how do I even begin? MisterWives has and always will be a top artist that I will listen to and go see live. The way Will comes onto the stage and just yells with hype energy to the crowd = perfection. I love that Mandy really doesn’t stay in one place while performing. Murph getting his own moment on the sax and how Mandy makes it a point to interact with each band member as if they were the lead singer too. They all deserve their spotlight.

MisterWives music just transcends throughout the room. Ranging from upbeat poppy songs to super alternative/kind of metal undertones. Mandy even comes down towards the end of the set into the pit to give the front row some major loving. I really just love them, their music & what they stand for. So, I think you should too.
