Rezz, born Isabelle Rezazadeh in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is a Juno Award-winning Canadian DJ and producer renowned for her dark. As she began to rise to prominence in the late 2010s, she signed with Mau5trap. Which lead to the release of her debut album, Mass Manipulation, in 2017. Subsequently, she released Certain Kind of Magic in 2018. Over the next few years, Rezz continued to make waves with notable singles such as “Someone Else” and “Orbit,” which paved the way for her third album, Spiral, released in 2021. More recently, her fourth album, Can You See Me?, was released in 2024.
Originally born in Ukraine to a Ukrainian mother and an Iranian father, Rezz moved to Canada at a young age. It was during her teenage years that she developed a fervent passion for EDM, sneaking into Toronto nightclubs and teaching herself to DJ and produce through online tutorials. Her early work soon attracted attention from major figures like Skrillex and Deadmau5.
In 2016, Rezz released two EPs, The Silence Is Deafening and Something Is Wrong, which effectively set the stage for her highly acclaimed 2017 debut album, Mass Manipulation. This album not only showcased her unique style but also won a Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Following this success, her 2018 follow-up, Certain Kind of Magic, featured collaborations with artists such as Deathpact, Kotek, and Fytch. As she continued to release popular singles and collaborations, including those on the 2021 album Spiral, which notably featured artists like PVRIS and Dove Cameron, Rezz solidified her place in the electronic music scene.
After the release of the 2022 Nightmare on Rezz Street 2 Mix and singles like “Suffer in Silence,” Rezz’s 2024 album, Can You See Me?, further demonstrates her evolving artistry with guest appearances by Subtronics, Holly, and Digital Ethos.
