Simple Plan Delivers an Unforgettable Pop-Punk Night at The Junkyard Denver

On August 17, 2025, The Junkyard in Denver was electrified as Simple Plan headlined their “Bigger Than You Think!” tour. The night kicked off with the infectious pop-rock of LØLØ, followed by the high-energy antics of Bowling for Soup. 3OH!3 amped up the crowd with their signature electro-pop flair, setting the stage for Simple Plan’s explosive set. Fans reveled in a nostalgic journey through the band’s greatest hits, marking a memorable evening of pop-punk celebration.


Bowling for Soup

Bowling for Soup is a pop-punk band formed in Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1994. The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jaret Reddick, drummer Gary Wiseman, and bassist Rob Felicetti. Originally a quartet, the band was co-founded by guitarist Chris Burney, who retired in early 2025 due to health issues after over 30 years with the group.

Known for their infectious melodies and humorous lyrics, Bowling for Soup gained widespread recognition with hits like “Girl All the Bad Guys Want,” “1985,” and “High School Never Ends.” Their music blends elements of pop-punk, power pop, and alternative rock, drawing influences from bands such as Green Day, NOFX, and the Ramones .

In 2022, the band released their latest album, Pop Drunk Snot Bread, continuing their tradition of high-energy, catchy tunes. Despite lineup changes, Bowling for Soup remains a beloved act in the pop-punk scene, known for their engaging live performances and enduring fanbase.

3OH!3

3OH!3 is an American electronic music duo from Boulder, Colorado, formed in 2004 by Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte. The band name derives from the 303 area code, symbolizing their Colorado roots. Initially, Foreman and Motte bonded over their shared love for underground hip-hop and electronic music while attending the University of Colorado Boulder. Their early work gained attention for its energetic blend of electronic beats and rap elements, setting the stage for their rise in the music scene.

The duo’s breakthrough came with their 2008 album Want, featuring the hit single “Don’t Trust Me,” which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. They further solidified their popularity with “Starstrukk,” a remix featuring Katy Perry, and “My First Kiss,” featuring Kesha, both of which charted internationally. Despite a period of relative quiet following their 2013 album Omens, 3OH!3 made a notable return with the 2020 single “LONELY MACHINES,” a collaboration with 100 gecs. This track marked a creative resurgence for the duo, leading to their 2025 “Bigger Than You Think!” tour, where they continue to bring their high-energy performances to audiences nationwide.

Simple Plan

Simple Plan is a Canadian pop-punk band formed in 1999 in Montreal. The lineup includes Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Chuck Comeau (drums), Jeff Stinco (guitar), and Sébastien Lefebvre (guitar). They gained fame with their 2002 debut album No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls, featuring hits like “I’m Just a Kid” and “I’d Do Anything.” Their 2004 follow-up, Still Not Getting Any…, produced the chart-topping single “Welcome to My Life,” solidifying their place in the pop-punk scene.

In 2024, Simple Plan celebrated their 25th anniversary with several notable releases and events. They released a pop-punk cover of Elton John’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” featured on Disney’s A Whole New Sound album. A limited-edition box set of their six studio albums was also released, each signed by the band. Additionally, Simple Plan announced a documentary titled Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd, which premiered on Prime Video in July 2025. Directed by Didier Charette, the film chronicles the band’s journey from their early days in Montreal to international success, featuring interviews with the band members and industry figures like Avril Lavigne and Mark Hoppus.

In 2025, Simple Plan embarked on their “Bigger Than You Think!” U.S. tour, celebrating their 25th anniversary. The tour featured special guests 3OH!3, Bowling for Soup, and LØLØ, and included a mix of new material and classic hits. Simple Plan also collaborated with Avril Lavigne on the single “Young & Dumb,” a nostalgic track reflecting their long-standing friendship and shared musical history. Simple Plan continues to engage with fans through music and media, maintaining their status as icons in the pop-punk genre.
