Subtronics @ Red Rocks

Subtronics came through Denver on April 13 and played the early season of Red Rocks. He was supported with a b2b by Artix!/Sweettooth, Leotrix, Hol!, and Pendulum. We had our photographer, Andrew Ortega, there to capture the magic.

A love for SUBwoofers and elecTRONICS has brought us Subtronics. Growing up in Philadelphia, PA, Jesse Kardon aka Subtronics had a passion for his drum set and Radiohead. While in high school, he discovered dubstep and was inspired to jump into the world of production. Fusing his unique blend of cutting-edge sound design with hard-hitting bass, Subtronics seeks to push the envelope. On the live front, he has built a rabid following with his high energy sets and advanced mixing skills.

Pendulum

Formed in 2002 by Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul ‘El Hornet’ Harding, Pendulum quickly took to the road, touring across their native home in Perth to internationally acclaimed clubs and festivals around the release of their seminal debut album ‘Hold Your Colour’. After relocating to the UK and forming the Pendulum live band, El Hornet took the reins on the Pendulum DJ Sets and has spent the past 15 years performing at some of the biggest electronic festivals in the world including Liquicity, Let It Roll, Rampage, Dreambeach and EDC.

Now alternating between the individual band members, and sometimes performing as a trio, the Pendulum DJ sets have taken on a life of their own with a huge global presence and genre spanning shows ranging from drum and bass, house, techno, tech house breaks and hardcore.

Leotrix

With no shortage of young talent rising from Australia, none are currently burning as brightly as Leotrix. Having supported artists including Marshmello, Excision, Zeds Dead, it’s no surprise Leotrix is carving his way up the ladder. His unstoppable combination of unique sound design, jaw dropping melodies and “no holds barred” styled drops are continuously finding homes on some of Dance music’s most hallowed homes. No stranger to the touring circuit, he’s notched several national tours across Australia already and is preparing to take his brand of mayhem across the planet with upcoming shows in Asia, New Zealand and the US. With the only goal being total world wide domination, expect nothing but greatness from this prodigious young talent!

Artix! b2b Sweettooth

Artix!: Nicolás Aguirre aka ARTIX is from Cordoba, Argentina. ARTIX originated as an online gaming moniker when he was a kid. He dreamt of musical stardom & it wasn’t long before he formed his own Metal band. While performing covers, ARTIX discovered Rap music & began writing his own lyrics, composing his own instrumentals & experimenting with different sounds. His discovery of Dubstep changed everything, as ARTIX was now able to bring his entire musical career to one place.

Sweettooth: The definition of rough around the edges. Los Angeles native SweetTooth has been decimating his way through the underground scene and more recently the festival circuit. His rowdy mixing style & personality make him a stand out in the shark tank that is the dubstep community.
