Bleachers killed their show at E-Werk in Cologne, Germany on September 1st, 2024. With Amy Allen warming up the stage, fans were shown an incredible evening.

Amy Allen

Amy Rose Allen was born and raised in Windham, Maine. Her father was a professional musician and her mother was a music teacher. She began playing the piano at the age of five & started writing her own songs at the age of ten.

In 2015, Teen Vogue featured Allen after she released two solo EPs. Allen began her career by working on a number of solo projects and formed Amy & The Engine, a four-piece indie pop-rock group, before relocating to New York for a year. The band released their first single “Last Forever” on February 14, 2015. They released TandeMania, their debut EP, on September 22, 2016.

But Amy’s life took a twist when she met Scott Harris, a songwriter and producer for Shawn Mendes, Dermot Kennedy, and Taylor Swift. He opened her eyes to the world of pop writing for major artists. Dazzled by her talent, Scott became her mentor. He had never represented another songwriter before, but Amy inspired him to launch a publishing company so that she could become his first signing.

She was nominated for the first-ever Grammy Award for Songwriter of the Year at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards for her work on releases by King Princess, Alexander 23, Lizzo, Harry Styles, Charli XCX, and Sabrina Carpenter.

Bleachers

Led by Grammy-winning producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer/songwriter Jack Antonoff, Bleachers turns the sounds of ’80s pop and college rock into buoyant, grandly emotional songs. In between his duties with Fun. and as a producer for stars such as Taylor SwiftLorde, and Lana Del ReyAntonoff delivers heartfelt anthems like “I Wanna Get Better,” Bleachers’ 2014 certified-platinum debut single.

That year’s debut album, Strange Desire — which cracked the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 — presented Bleachers’ relatable synth pop in its purest form. Though Antonoff added more ambition and inventive sonics to 2017’s Gone Now, revisited his Jersey roots with Bruce Springsteen on 2021’s Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night, and looked inward on 2024’s Bleachers, the project always focused on his finesse at wrapping genuine emotions in big, shiny sounds.
