Boys Like Girls @ Fillmore Auditorium

Boys Like Girls returned to Denver, Colorado on October 14th, 2023, ready to rock out with support from State Champs, The Summer Set, and LOLO

LOLO

LOLO kicked off the eventful evening with a very exciting set. She had amazing stage presence and it was immediately apparent that she knows how to connect to an audience. Noticeably, her energy and communication helped engage the audience and everyone’s full attention was put towards her set. LOLO was constantly on the move, jumping and dancing around stage and just having a great time with her band, her happiness was radiating throughout the venue.

The Summer Set

The Summer Set had a tough act to follow after LOLO, and they did not disappoint! They had a number of fans in the audience who were having the time of their life, but even those who didn’t know their songs were still dancing the show away. The band is new to this tour, and while they have only played a few dates so far, I can tell it’ll be a good run. As they closed out their set, they put nothing but encouragement and excitement towards the coming acts.

State Champs

I’ve seen State Champs live three times by now and every time it is nothing but amazing. Their songs are classics and had everyone moving on their feet. There’s really no other band I would want playing between The Summer Set and Boys Like Girls. It seemed like everyone in the crowd was familiar with their music, and it made for an even more exciting time on stage. State Champs was here in Colorado less than a year ago, and I bet they’ll be back and ready to rock.

Boys Like Girls

After three amazing support acts, the wait had long been worth it as Boys Like Girls took the show by storm. Excited is an understatement for what this crowd was feeling. Boys Like Girls had a connection to their fans that one could only begin to describe. Immediately, I noticed that each member had an abundance of guitar picks. As the night went, on they constantly threw them out into the crowd. Seeing this filled my heart, because theres no better feeling than getting a guitar pick from your favorite band, and with how many they had, everyone had a great chance. Throughout the set the audience never once lost their passion and energy for this band, and seeing the liveliness run through the crowd was more than amazing.
