If you know me, you know I been rocking with Cal Scruby for YEAAAAARS. His lyrics & grit to his voice while he spits bars always draws me in. And to say my heart isn’t bursting that he sold out this Denver show is an understatement.
Cal has worked so hard and I’ve been seeing him live for the past 10 years. He always encompasses the room, no matter how big or small. This show in particular, I’m telling you it was so sold out I could hardly move around the venue to get my shots. Yes frustrating for me but holy moly, congrats Cal for fucking rocking that place out.
If you’re a fan of Cal’s then you already know this, but for those who don’t: Cal doesn’t like to follow the “norm.” He does shit his own way and however he wants. Relating to this show, he did not have an opener. I was like, here Cal goes again, starting trends and just doing it how he wants. Now I love seeing openers as it’s a great way to discover new artists and music, but this was a breath of fresh air to just go & see the person you went to see.
