In their grand return to touring, COIN rocked MGM Music Hall on October 27th, 2024. Their first appearance in Boston since a sold-out show at the Sinclair in 2018. There were joined by artist Aidan Bissett, making an incredible night overall.
Aidan Bissett
Aidan Bissett put on a captivating display of pop anthems as the opener of the night. While the crowd missed out on fan-favorite songs that weren’t cut out for the Boston setlist, they were surprised with some of Aidan’s new and upcoming music. Aidan and his bandmates put on a welcoming performance with plenty of crowd interaction and intermittent conversations between tracks. The set was a reminder of Aidan’s growing popularity as an emerging pop star and his striking, dynamic performance qualities.

COIN
After a brief hiatus from touring, COIN returned to the public eye with I’m Not Afraid of Tour Anymore – the tour. Their show was nothing short of a masterpiece.
You could feel the anticipation and atmosphere in the pit from the moment the lights dimmed and the band walked out. The first music notes echoed through the crowd and it was clear that COIN was back, stronger than ever. Fans were dying to reconnect with the band’s signature sound and energy.
The show was exceptional in combining dark, moody lighting with electrifying music. COIN created an experience that left the audience buzzing from the first song to the last. Songs like “Talk Too Much” and “Hannah” had the crowd singing along, while deeper tracks were elevated by the flashing strobes, tilting lights, and a stage that was enveloped in shadows – bursts of color and moving lights offered more dynamic energy through each song performance.
A Sight to See
The visual artistry of the set matched the band’s musical image and allowed the crowd to feel even more immersed in the performance. Lead vocalist, Chase Lawrence, led the charge through his emotive singing and engaging stage presence. With each song in the set, the band and crowd chemistry grew, creating a lively, and unforgettable night of music.
Through recent years, I’ve followed COIN’s journey from afar. Seeing them in person rekindled my interest in their music. Their Boston show felt like a triumphant celebration of their music and artistry – from their old catalog to their latest album, I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore. The combination of dark, moody visuals were infectious, drawing me in with the rest of the crowd. With this tour, it’s clear that COIN is back and ready to be at the top of the music scene once more.
