Deadmau5 @ Red Rocks

Deadmau5 gave us all the greatest escape from reality at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, CO on November 1st, 2024. Kicking off the incredible evening was Callie Reiff.

Callie Reiff

From musical prodigy to industry trendsetter, Callie Reiff is unlike any other. As an accomplished producer, DJ, and all-around performer, she’s made history as the youngest DJ to perform at Webster Hall — since then, she’s taken the stage at festivals such as Creamfields, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, and Ultra and opened for world-renowned acts including Ed Sheeran, Skrillex, and more. At 21 years old, Callie Reiff has aligned herself at the intersection of indie pop and electronic.

Callie entered 2021 with “The Kids Are All Rebels 2.0” in collaboration with Lenii, a record that sets the precedent for the new era of her sound. Her latest singles ‘Crash Into Me (ft. Madison Daniel)’ and ‘What Ifs (ft. Louella)’ put her electrifying indie-in-the-club production on full display. There’s a reason she’s gained global support from tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale, Rinse FM’s Marcus Nasty, and Diplo — each release exudes Callie’s bubbling, fearless energy and unrivaled character. In addition to her own tracks, Callie has knocked out dance floor-ready remixes for artists such as Alison Wonderland, SOFI TUKKER, TRACE, and more.

Deadmau5

Canadian electronic music producer and Mau5trap label head Deadmau5 is one of the most prominent figures in the contemporary dance scene, instantly recognizable with his signature oversized mouse helmet. Debuting in the late 2000s, he made his first international statement with 2009’s For Lack of a Better Name. From there, he remained a Top Ten fixture on the U.S. and Canadian Dance charts, going platinum in 2010 with 4×4=12 and topping the charts three times in a row with Album Title Goes Here (2012), While (1<2) (2014), and W:/2016ALBUM/ (2016). Following his EP trilogy Mau5ville: Level Complete (2020) and Kaskade collaboration Kx5, he delivered the Some EP (2024). Known for his live shows and highly produced stage setups, he is also an avid video gamer, contributing to soundtracks for Grand Theft Auto, Need for Speed, and more.

Born Joel Zimmerman in Niagara Falls, the Toronto-based DJ rose to prominence in 2008 when his track “Faxing Berlin” found its way onto the play list of legendary DJ/producer Pete Tong’s radio show. Deadmau5 soon became an important figure in the world of progressive house music. He released his work through his own label, Mau5trap Recordings, and scored a number of awards in 2008, including a Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. He released Random Album Title that same year, along with the first volume of the remix-collecting At Play series.
