On June 26, 2025, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado pulsed with reggae-rock energy as the Dirty Heads headlined a sun-soaked evening of genre-bending performances. The night kicked off with high-octane vibes from Cleveland-based Tropidelic, followed by a dynamic solo set from Rome—best known as the voice of Sublime with Rome. As the sun dipped behind the sandstone monoliths, the Dirty Heads took the stage, delivering a crowd-pleasing set packed with fan favorites and fresh tracks that kept the amphitheater swaying late into the night.
Rome
Rome Ramirez, known simply as Rome, is a California-born singer, guitarist, and songwriter who rose to prominence as the frontman of Sublime with Rome alongside surviving members of Sublime. He started playing guitar at 11 and, by 2009, had joined forces with bassist Eric Wilson to carry forward the iconic reggae-rock legacy. Rome co-wrote the Dirty Heads’ 2010 hit “Lay Me Down,” which topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart for 11 weeks. With Sublime with Rome, he recorded multiple albums (including Yours Truly, Sirens, Blessings, and a self-titled 2024 release), earning gold and platinum certifications along the way.
In 2025, Rome has embarked on a fresh solo journey. He released his debut single “Why My?” in April and followed up in June with the upbeat anthem “Slow & Easy,” produced by Dann Huff and featuring Dirty Heads—reconnecting him with old collaborators. He also wrapped up a triumphant set at Cali Vibes Festival and joined Dirty Heads on stage that same day. His solo work blends reggae, soul, and rock, reflecting a roots-rooted, heartfelt style as he shapes the next chapter of his musical career.
