On March 15, 2025, indie rock fans gathered at Denver’s Mission Ballroom for a night of electrifying performances headlined by Flipturn. Known for their dynamic stage presence and emotionally charged anthems, the Florida-based band brought their signature sound to the Mile High City. Kicking off the night was Krooked Kings, the rising indie outfit whose dreamy, guitar-driven melodies et the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening. With anthemic choruses and infectious energy, this lineup promised a show that left fans buzzing long after the final encore.
Krooked Kings
Krooked Kings, an indie rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah, formed in 2018 when five college friends united over their passion for music. The lineup features Oliver ‘Oli’ Martin (lead vocals, guitar), Paul Colgan (guitar), David Macey (keys), Matt Monosson (bass), and Quinn Casper (drums). They began by performing in backyards and basements, which led to their signing with Los Angeles-based indie label Nobody Gets It Records in 2020. Their breakout single, “’96 Subaru,” has amassed over three million streams.
On March 15, 2025, Krooked Kings opened for Flipturn at Denver’s Mission Ballroom. They delivered a setlist that included songs like “Lying Through Their Teeth,” “Wish We Could Be Friends,” and “Sick of Being Young.” Their recent album, “All Out of Good Days,” reflects their journey of personal growth and distancing from their religious upbringing. The band’s evolution showcases their ability to craft heartfelt indie rock gems that resonate with a growing audience.

Flipturn
Flipturn, an indie rock band from Fernandina Beach, Florida, formed in 2015 when high school friends Dillon Basse (lead vocals), Tristan Duncan (lead guitar), and Madeline Jarman (bass) began playing together. They later expanded their lineup by adding Mitch Fountain (guitar/synth) and Devon VonBalson (drums), solidifying their dynamic sound.
The band’s debut album, Shadowglow, released in 2022, garnered critical acclaim and led to performances at major festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Governor’s Ball. In January 2025, Flipturn released their sophomore album, Burnout Days, which delves into themes of resilience, family, and personal growth. Their relentless touring schedule has included sold-out shows at iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre, further cementing their status in the indie music scene.
