Monterrey’s (Mexico) Heineken Silver Live Out, taking place on October 12, 2024, is a constant reminder of the city’s cultural hub for live music. Exhibiting why it has become a city where concerts have become a must go in this northern region. Taking place in Fundidora Park, the music festival drew in an impressive amount of fans who all all together to celebrate. From headliners like Gwen Stefani to One Republic, this year perfectly embodied a blend of pop culture icons to underground artists.
Ambar Lucid
Starting the evening, Ambar Lucid brought her soft and indie sound to the main stage, performing hits such as “Fantasmas” and “A Letter To My Younger Self”. The singer’s vocals showed the raw emotion and passion that she has for her craft. Creating a dreamy atmosphere with mesmerizing visuals, Ambar Lucid’s set felt like a moment to fully breathe in and soak in what was to come for the festival.

Empress Of
Right after Ambar Lucid left the stage, Empress Of took the Barcadi Stage and left fans in awe. The feeling of wanting more after the last song played. From the moment her set started, everyone was full of energy with the electronic beats and rhythms that were in her songs. The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter transported the crowd with pulsating beats and emotionally charged lyrics.
Fitz and The Tantrums
As the sun began to set, Fitz and The Tantrums took the stage. Their infectious blend of pop with indie made the crowd burst with energy and chaos. Their set felt like an hour-long party with a fully engaged audience. Everyone dancing to the funky rhythms and sing-along choruses. Covering “Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This”, the band proved their immense talent to cover a song and make it their style. By the time they closed their set with “Handclap,” the crowd was buzzing with joy and wanting more.

Nicki Nicole
Nicki Nicole made the whole crowd dance with her vibrant and energetic display of talent. Her voice and effortless transitions between rap and trap electrified Fundidora Park. The famous beloved singer brought fans on stage to dance to her song “Otra Noche” which had the audience singing along to every word. The dynamic stage presence of the singers along with her backup dancers, stunning visuals and the connection with her fans created an unforgettable moment for this festival. Nicole’s undeniable stage charisma has cemented her as a rising star in the Latin American music community.

Gwen Stefani
By the time Nicki’s set ended, fans rushed to the main stage to get to see pop icon Gwen Stefani. Monterrey had been eagerly waiting for this performance, and she delivered an out-of-body experience for her Mexican fans who she calls her “Familia”. Opening with fan-favorite “The Sweet Escape” Gwen Stefani immediately made the crowd burst into energy. Her set was full of 2000s nostalgia, featuring hits such as “Hollaback Girl” and “What You Waiting For?”. Alongside No Doubt’s classics such as “Don’t Speak” and “I’m Just A Girl”. Her ability to switch from her punk persona to pop persona made her set one of the best at the festival.

The War On Drugs
Right after witnessing the perfect pop nostalgia from Gwen Stefani, The War On Drugs took the stage. They delivered an electrifying performance that blended sweeping guitar riffs to synths in a visually and musically captivating set. Frontman Adam Granduciel’s vocals soared through the park and created an energy that kept the crowd hooked. With the band’s signature mix of rock and ambient textures, they performed songs like “Red Eyes” and “Pain”. This made an unforgettable experience for fans.

One Republic
“Monterrey is the best city in Mexico, I got a chance to visit Barrio Antiguo yesterday and I fell in love with this place,” said One Republic’s frontman, Ryan Tedder. The band’s performance was a journey through the band’s 17 years. Performing hits such as “Counting Stars” and “I Lived”, the lead singer’s roaring vocals and impressive stage presence kept the audience hooked. The band also performed a set of songs that music producer and frontman Ryan Tedder has worked on. From “Halo” by Beyonce to “Greedy” by Tate McRae, the crowd found itself singing along to every single word. Ending their set with fan favorite, “If I Lose Myself” the performance felt like a collective moment of joy under the Monterrey stars.

Heineken Silver Live Out delivered everything that makes a festival great. From a great lineup that was accompanied by stunning performances and an atmosphere that perfectly captured Monterrey’s love for live music. With amazing organization, and the beautiful views of the mountains in the city, Live Out will continue to be one of Monterrey’s beloved music events that you cannot miss if you are ever in the northern city. This year’s edition will go down as one for the books, setting a bar for future events in this region.
