Jake Scott @ Gothic Theatre

Jake Scott is UNDERRATED, yo. He exudes so much joy & good vibes. I thoroughly enjoyed him live & err body gotta go see him, OR ELSE.

He started his set just FULL of energy (you can tell how much jumping he did from his hair in the pics below). I mean, his whole set was energy, but he came out with a bang. For the longest time, I didn’t know how I knew Jake’s music, until he played the song “Tuesdays.” A beautiful love song that I had previously put on a love playlist. Once he played it, it hit me that that is where I discovered his music.

He also just had little notes that gave off such positive and likable vibes. First, he was wearing a shirt that said “The World Needs Love.” He also had the names of his wife (Rach) and daughter (Ruby) on his piano. What a cute AF freaking ode to his family. My heart melted. Additionally, it was his TM’s (tour manager for all you peasants who don’t know) birthday so they brought her out on stage and sang her happy birthday (love a stage moment as such).

Finally…….towards the end of his set, he literally came out and joined the crowd during one song. Just walking around willy nilly interacting and serenading those around him. HOW COOL. That literally doesn’t happen very often (probs for safety) but like, HELLO. People who aren’t right at the front got to be up close & personal.

Overall, twas a great show & experience and do not sleep on him, k?
