On May 23, 2025, the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, hosted a soulful night of music headlined by the incomparable Leon Bridges. The evening began with a dynamic performance by LA LOM, whose genre-blending sound set the tone for the night. As the sun dipped behind the sandstone monoliths, Bridges took the stage, delivering a captivating set that fused vintage soul with modern flair, leaving the sold-out crowd mesmerized beneath the stars.


LA LOM

LA LOM, short for the Los Angeles League of Musicians, is an instrumental trio from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2019, the group features guitarist Zac Sokolow, bassist Jake Faulkner, and percussionist Nicholas Baker. Their music blends cumbia, bolero, Peruvian chicha, surf rock, and ’60s soul, reflecting the diverse cultural landscape of their hometown. The band began by performing five nights a week at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, where they honed their unique sound. Their performances evolved from background music to captivating live shows, leading to a dedicated following.

In August 2024, LA LOM released their self-titled debut album under Verve Records. The album received critical acclaim and charted on Billboard’s Tropical Albums and Emerging Artists lists. Following the release, the band toured extensively, opening for acts like Vampire Weekend and performing at major festivals. Their music continues to resonate with audiences seeking a nostalgic yet fresh take on instrumental music.

Leon Bridges

Leon Bridges, born Todd Michael Bridges in Atlanta and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist celebrated for his unique fusion of classic soul, R&B, gospel, and contemporary styles. He emerged on the national scene in 2015 with his debut album Coming Home, a nostalgic nod to 1960s soul that earned widespread critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination. The album featured standout tracks like “River” and “Lisa Sawyer,” which quickly established his reputation as a powerful storyteller with a voice reminiscent of Sam Cooke.

Leon Bridges followed up with Good Thing in 2018, expanding his musical palette to include modern R&B and pop elements while still honoring his vintage roots. The project spawned hits like “Beyond” and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance. In 2021, he released Gold-Diggers Sound, a sultry and introspective album that pushed his artistry further and received another Grammy nomination. Known for his ability to evolve while staying grounded in soul, Bridges has become a staple at major festivals and on global stages.

Leon Bridges most recent album, Leon (2024), deepens his connection to his Fort Worth heritage, blending soul with country, folk, and blues influences. The album features collaborations with John Mayer and other notable artists, and it was recorded in diverse cultural hubs including Nashville, Mexico City, and Houston. Beyond studio recordings, Leon Bridges is renowned for his captivating live performances and timeless stage presence. Whether delivering tender ballads or upbeat grooves, he continues to define and redefine the modern soul movement for a new generation of listeners.
