Lil Yachty @ Old National Centre

On October 8, 2023, a cool evening in Indianapolis, Lil Yachty took the stage at a packed venue. This show a part of his highly anticipated “Field Trip Tour”. As a fan of Lil Yachty’s unique style & energetic performances, I was excited to see what he had in store for the audience.

As the Egyptian Room in the Old National Centre began to fill, fans were eager to get the night started. Singing and jumping along to the music playing on the speakers as they waited for the show to begin.

Nick Hakim

Kicking off the night, Nick Hakim used his captivating voice to get the crowd ready. Since Lil Yachty covers many different genres in his discography, I couldn’t stop thinking about who the opener could be on this tour. Once it was official that Nick Hakim was going to be opening in, I grew super excited to see how his set would fit. Nick did an amazing job warming up the crowd with his slow, soft sound.

Lil Yachty

Lil Yachty recently released his album, “Let’s Start Here”, and has gained the attention of fans across the world. He transitioned from rap to Psychedelic Rock/Funk, something I don’t believe has happened before. With comparisons to Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon”, this new sound brought in many more fans, making the crowd extremely musically diverse.

After performing a wide selection of songs off of his new album, Yachty dives into the archives to showcase all of his HipHop/Pop hits. The show was the perfect tour, or field trip, through Lil Yachtys Discography and I definitely recommend the experience.
