Lee Fields
Lee Fields is a legendary American soul singer whose powerhouse vocals and timeless style have captivated audiences for over five decades. Born Elmer Lee Fields in Wilson, North Carolina, he began performing in the late 1960s and quickly earned the nickname “Little JB” for his striking vocal resemblance to James Brown.
Fields moved to New York as a teenager and immersed himself in the funk and soul scenes, touring with artists like Kool & the Gang, O.V. Wright, and Darrell Banks. Though he never reached the mainstream heights of his peers, Fields built a devoted underground following, fueled by electrifying live performances and gritty, heartfelt recordings. His music seamlessly blends deep soul, Southern blues, and vintage funk, offering a modern take on classic American genres.
Fields experienced a major resurgence in the 2000s as the retro-soul movement gained momentum. His work with Brooklyn-based band The Expressions led to critically acclaimed albums like My World (2009), Faithful Man (2012), and Special Night (2016).
Critics praised his voice as raw, sincere, and emotionally charged. In 2022, he released Sentimental Fool on Daptone Records, marking a return to his roots in classic soul while showcasing his continued growth as an artist. That album was widely celebrated as a high point in his discography and solidified his status as one of soul’s most enduring voices. Fields continues to tour internationally, delivering shows filled with passion, grit, and old-school charm. With over 50 years in the industry, he remains a vital force in modern soul music.

Lord Huron
Lord Huron is an indie folk-rock band formed in 2010 by Michigan native Ben Schneider. The group began as Schneider’s solo project but quickly evolved into a full band known for its lush soundscapes, Western-inspired storytelling, and cinematic instrumentation. Drawing influence from folk, surf rock, and film scores, Lord Huron crafted a distinctive sonic world that blends fantasy with emotion. Their 2012 debut album Lonesome Dreams introduced listeners to that immersive vision, with standout tracks like “Ends of the Earth” and “She Lit a Fire” establishing their signature blend of sweeping melodies and adventurous lyrics.
In 2015, Lord Huron released their breakthrough album Strange Trails, which included the platinum-certified single “The Night We Met.” That song gained global popularity after its placement in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, vaulting the band into the mainstream. The success led to sold-out tours and critical acclaim, confirming Lord Huron’s place as a leading force in modern indie folk. They followed with 2018’s Vide Noir, a darker, more psychedelic record that debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and earned praise for its bold sonic shift. In 2021, they released Long Lost, a deeply nostalgic concept album presented through a fictional radio station. The project received praise for its ambitious storytelling and timeless sound.
Recently, Lord Huron announced a new era with their upcoming 2025 album The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1. They released two singles: “Who Laughs Last?”—featuring a noir-inspired music video starring Kristen Stewart—and the wistful ballad “Nothing I Need.” The band has continued to evolve while maintaining the evocative, dreamlike quality that fans love. Known for their theatrical stage design and haunting live performances, Lord Huron continues to sell out tours across North America and Europe. With a loyal fan base and an ever-growing discography, they remain one of the most captivating and imaginative acts in indie music today.
