Natalie Jane rocked her show at The Atlantis in Washington D.C. on March 12, 2024. With support from Jessica Baio, the crowd was dancing and singing along the whole night.
Jessica Baio
I arrived 25 minutes before the opener took the stage and it’s not often I see a venue that full so far ahead of time. Everyone who arrived early was in for a treat when Jessica Baio took the stage to start off the night. Sometimes when you attend concerts, the hype for the opener does not match the hype for the headliner. But this was certainly not the case for this night. The crowd sang along to every word & the chorus of fans singing along added greatly to the set.
Baio also boosted the energy in the entire venue with a versatile set. This involved dancing all across the stage & leaning out to interact with the crowd. The dynamics of the performance perfectly set the stage for Natalie Jane who is also an incredibly high energy performer. The similarities between Jessica Baio and Natalie Jane in both musical style and performance style are evident, and this is what I think makes them a perfect lineup for anyone who is fan of their music. I have no doubt that the fanbases for each of the artists overlap heavily making Baio the optimal choice for an opener for Natalie Jane!

Natalie Jane
After a quick break, Natalie Jane took the stage to rapturous applause. The passion of her fans could be felt, even when they caught a glimpse of her off stage. The crowd erupted and did not quiet down! Jane’s vocal skills are just as impressive in person, matching what you see from her content online. Her devoted fans were clearly hanging on to every word she sang, singing them along with her.
Jane is also one of those artists who leaves me in awe by their athleticism as she ran and danced from side to side, doing so to constantly interact with as many fans as possible. Numerous times throughout to the night, she turned her mic towards her fans to listen to them shout the lyrics back to her. Jane also clearly cares a lot about her fans. At times, she jumped up onto a box positioned onstage, which made her even more visible to everyone in the crowd. This was especially important as there were a lot of middle and high schoolers in attendance that I could definitely see having a hard time seeing through the adults in crowd.
Jane also clearly has a sense of humor which I always think adds to a performance. At one point when starting a song, she performed what I thought was a great riff. She then stopped the music and asked the band to start over, which I was particularly surprised by. She joked that she wasn’t going to leave the crowd with that before restarting the song with a perfect riff. I think being able to have fun onstage is one of the best qualities an artist can have, and Jane definitely embraces that characteristic! Overall, I think it’s safe to say that everyone at Natalie’s show had a great time! From the perfect choice in opener with Jessica Baio to Natalie Jane’s incredible vibes, it was no surprise that this show (along with most of the others on her tour) was sold out!
