Snow Patrol @ The Salt Shed

On April 1, 2025, Snow Patrol delivered a breathtaking performance at The Salt Shed in Chicago, IL, captivating fans with their signature anthemic sound. The night opened with a stunning set from Sorcha Richardson, whose introspective lyrics and dreamy melodies set the perfect tone for the evening. As Snow Patrol began, the energy in the venue soared, with the crowd singing along to every heartfelt lyric. From soaring ballads to electrifying rock moments, they once again proved why they remain one of the most beloved bands in modern alternative rock.


Sorcha Richardson

Sorcha Richardson, an Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin, has captivated audiences with her blend of indie pop & folk-rock influences. She began her musical journey at age 10 by forming her first band with school friends. After studying creative writing in Brooklyn, New York, she returned to Dublin in late 2017. In 2018, she performed at Longitude Festival & earned recognition as one of RTÉ 2FM’s Rising Artists. 

Her debut album, First Prize Bravery (2019), delved into themes of friendships and relationships, earning a nomination for the Choice Music Prize. Her 2022 follow-up, Smiling Like an Idiot, reached number four on the Irish Albums Chart. In March 2025, she embarked on her first Australian tour, performing in cities like Perth and Northcote.

Snow Patrol

​Snow Patrol, a Northern Irish-Scottish alternative rock band, formed in 1994 at the University of Dundee in Scotland. The lineup includes lead vocalist & guitarist Gary Lightbody, guitarist Nathan Connolly, and pianist Johnny McDaid. Over the years, Snow Patrol has released seven studio albums, with their 2006 hit “Chasing Cars” becoming one of the most played songs on UK radio in 2018. ​

In 2024, they released their eighth studio album, The Forest Is the Path, as a trio following the departure of original members Jonny Quinn and Paul ‘Pablo’ Wilson.  The album features tracks like “All,” “The Beginning,” and “Talking About Hope.”  

Lead singer Gary Lightbody has reflected on the band’s journey, discussing personal themes in his memoir, The Forest Is the Path, which aligns with the band’s latest album. Despite lineup changes, Snow Patrol continues to engage audiences with their emotive performances and evolving musical landscape.
