St Vincent

On May 16, 2025, Denver’s Mission Ballroom was transformed into a haven of avant-garde rock as St. Vincent brought her “All Born Screaming” tour to the Mile High City. The evening commenced with an evocative performance by British ensemble Black Country, New Road, whose experimental soundscapes and emotive lyrics set a contemplative tone for the night

As the lights dimmed, anticipation reached a fever pitch. St. Vincent, known offstage as Annie Clark, took the stage with her signature blend of theatrical flair and virtuosic musicianship. Opening with “Reckless,” she led the audience through a meticulously curated setlist that spanned her eclectic discography, including fan favorites like “Los Ageless” and “Digital Witness,” as well as new tracks from her latest album. The performance was a masterclass in reinvention, showcasing Clark’s evolution as an artist and her unwavering commitment to pushing musical boundaries.

Black Country, New Road

Black Country, New Road is a British experimental rock band formed in Cambridge in 2018. Known for their genre-defying sound that blends elements of post-rock, jazz, and spoken word, the band quickly gained a dedicated following with their debut album “For the First Time” in 2021. Their sophomore release, “Ants From Up There,” further solidified their reputation for crafting emotionally resonant and musically intricate compositions.

Despite lineup changes and the departure of lead vocalist Isaac Wood, the band has continued to evolve, embracing a more collaborative approach to songwriting and performance. Their live shows are characterized by dynamic arrangements and a palpable sense of camaraderie among band members, offering audiences a unique and immersive musical journey.
