A night filled with good music & crowd surfing – The Amity Affliction played at Fillmore Auditorium on May 5, 2024 in Denver, CO. Supporting them were Currents, Dying Wish & Mugshot.


Mugshot

Hailing from San Jose, California, Mugshot’ first release came in 2016 with their album “Dull Boy”. Five years later, Mugshot made waves with their EP “Empty Heaven”, which garnered overnight success among metal and hardcore fans alike. Today, Mugshot is made up by drummer Connor Haines, guitarist Michael Demko, and vocalist Ringo Waterman.

Dying Wish

Dying Wish is an American metalcore band from Portland, Oregon. The band consists of vocalist Emma Boster, guitarists Sam Reynolds and Pedro Carrillo, drummer Jeff Yambra and bassist Jon Mackey.

Dying Wish formed in 2016, with their first release being a demo in 2018. In 2019, the band released a song called “Enemies In Red”, featuring Bryan Garris of the band Knocked Loose. In 2020, the band signed with SharpTone Records and released a new song titled “Innate Thirst”. On July 7, 2021, the band announced plans to release their debut album, Fragments of a Bitter Memory. The album released on October 1, 2021. In 2023, the band announced they were recording their second full-length album. The band released a single in 2023 called “Torn From Your Silhouette”. The group released another song, “Watch My Promise Die” in July 2023, and announced their second full-length album alongside the song. The album, Symptoms of Survival, was released on November 3, 2023, through SharpTone.

Currents

Currents is an American metalcore band formed in Newtown, Connecticut in 2011 by former drummer Jeff Brown. After numerous line-up changes, they consist of singer Brian Wille, guitarists Ryan Castaldi and Chris Wiseman, bassist and backing vocalist Christian Pulgarin, and drummer Matt Young. Since 2018, no original members remain with the band.

The Amity Affliction

An Aussie metalcore group with highly confessional lyrics and a melody-driven emo-tinged sound, the Amity Affliction emerged in 2008 with Severed Ties. They hit their stride in 2012 with the release of their third full-length effort, Chasing Ghosts, which like subsequent outings This Could Be Heartbreak (2016), Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them (2020), and Not Without My Ghosts (2023), soared to the top of the Australian charts, and found international success as well.
