The Band CAMINO w/ Dermot Kennedy @ Fillmore Auditorium

The Band CAMINO & Dermot Kennedy absolutely rooooocked Alice in Winterland (put on by Alice 105.9). One Republic was supposed to headline, but unfortunately Ryan Tedder had the flu and they had to bow out. I was disappointed I wouldn’t get to see them BUT that wasn’t going to stop me from having a good time…and I was thoroughly blown away.

First, Dermot Kennedy started out the show with just him & an acoustic guitar. Let me just tell you….his voice is butter. He’s very dreamy & you can hear his Irish accent while he plays (LIKE I SAID…DREAMY). I normally enjoy a big production and lights and bass etc but this was a nice stripped down version and I honestly had my jaw to the floor the whole time. I can’t stop listening to his music. He also hit me in my feels during “Something to Someone” (hadn’t heard it before) and it just reminded me of breakups and sadness, but like in the best way.

Okay, now onto The Band CAMINO and wow…I’ve been sleeping on them. I danced my butt off, knew only one song but thoroughly enjoyed their set. I think I messed up my camera during this as I was a lil tipsy, didn’t put my protectors back on and it stopped working the next night at Andy Frasco (that show was wild, post to come soon). But I say all that to show you that I couldn’t stop jumping and dancing around because I was having the bestest time. They will be on loop from now on.
