The Script took their ‘Satellites’ tour to Boston’s House of Blue’s on October 4th, 2024. The band turned back time with a setlist full of their nostalgic 2000’s charting hits. Along with thier top songs from the past two decades.
The Script
Attending a concert of The Script is an opportunity to rewind and hit ‘play’ on nostalgia. The band delivered a memorable night to fans on October 4th, playing fan-favorite tracks like ‘Superheroes’, ‘Breakeven’, and ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’.
As a young fan of the Script, their music was the soundtrack to my childhood. Hearing ‘Breakeven’ and ‘Nothing’ transported me to a place of reflection and comfort. Attending their show was like stepping back into memorable moments of my past. The band’s delivery and emotive nature felt like a personal journey through time, echoing the same feelings that their music sparked when I was younger.
The band’s electric delivery brought Boston’s audience to life for the entirety of the night. Lead singer Danny O’Donoghue delivered a captivating performance. A crowd-favorite moment was Danny starting an Irish-inspired, ‘Ole Ole Ole’ chant that segwayed into playing ‘Paint the Town Green’. The way that the crowd responded to each song reminded me just how powerful The Script’s music felt when I listened to them as a kid.
House of Blues was perfect for this nostalgia-filled, yet intimate and lively night. It felt like everyone in the crowd was connecting through the band’s performance. It breathed new life into the same tracks that we all once played on repeat during car rides and quiet days at home.
The concert was more than a show; it was a return to my youth, and the band’s powerful, heartfelt performance reminded me why their music has always meant so much to me. It was a night of connection – between the past and present, the audience and band…and most importantly, a connection between music and memories.
