The Velveteers @ The Echo

On March 13, 2025, The Echo in Los Angeles hosted an electrifying night of rock music. The lineup featured headliner The Velveteers, a primal rock trio from Boulder, Colorado, known for their heavy rock and bluesy garage sound. Opening the evening were Julez and The Rollerz, who brought their dynamic energy to the stage, followed by Girl Tones, setting the tone for an unforgettable show.


Julez and the Rollerz

Julez and the Rollerz, based in Los Angeles, California, is a five-piece rock ‘n’ roll garage band known for their relatable and fun-loving attitude. Frontwoman Jules Batterman, originally performing solo under the moniker Julez, relocated from New York City to Los Angeles in 2018. There, she formed the current lineup including Jules Batterman (lead), Hannah Hughes (guitar), Morgyn Payge (bass), Shea Corothers (keys), and Sarah Park (drums), officially becoming Julez and the Rollerz. Their music combines old-school tones with tragically honest yet playful lyrics and catchy guitar riffs, creating a unique blend that resonates with audiences.

Girl Tones

Girl Tones, a high-energy rock duo from South Central Kentucky, consists of sisters Kenzie and Laila Crowe. Initially classically trained musicians—Kenzie on cello and Laila on piano—they transitioned to rock, forming the band in 2017.

Their debut single, “Fade Away,” produced by Brad Shultz of Cage the Elephant, showcases their unpolished, distorted sound. In November 2024, they released “Again,” blending angsty overdrive with ethereal elements.

The Velveteers

The Velveteers, a primal rock trio from Boulder, Colorado, consisting of lead singer and guitarist Demi Demitro, with dual drummers Baby Pottersmith and Jonny Fig. They blend punk attitude, old-school metal, and gutter-glam charisma. Their debut album, Nightmare Daydream, produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, showcases their raw power and electric voice.
