TV Girl @ The Aztec Theatre

After releasing their album, “Grapes Upon the Vine,” TV Girl debuted their first night of tour in San Antonio, TX. The show support was Neggy Gemmy and took place on on September 21!

Neggy Gemmy

Neggy Gemmy (formerly Negative Gemini) is Los Angeles songwriter, singer, and producer. Known for her contemporary take on electronic indie and experimentation between genres. In astrology, Geminis represent polarity and her music links to that idea. Although, she is actually a Sagittarius. The Los Angeles-based artist delivers sparkling vocal hooks alongside angst-ridden missives, and floating atmospherics with chest-caving bass. She’s constantly swerving and shapeshifting as her interests and surroundings change: no two releases are quite alike, yet within all of their DNA lies a magnetic songwriting sensibility that makes you want to sing, chant, and scream along with her.

TV Girl

TV Girl is an American indie pop band from San Diego, California, consisting of Brad Petering, Jason Wyman, and Wyatt Harmon. As of 2023, the group is now based in Los Angeles.

TV Girl’s released a mixtape in 2012: The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle. They gave away the mixtape for free, and also came with an accompanying downloadable coloring book. This mixtape would have been their debut album, but Petering and Ngo expressed that this work didn’t feel official enough to be their first album and felt that the term mixtape was more appropriate.

TV Girl’s 2014 debut album French Exit was called “remarkably solid” by Bandwagon Magazine and “one of the most focused indie-pop albums of the [2010s]” by The Daily Targum.
