Young The Giant @ Red Rocks

WOWEEEEE, what an absolute smash of a show from Young The Giant at Red Rocks on August 30. The energy was top notch, TALK starting out the evening bringing all the goods. Up next was Milky Chance & those guys are just *chefs kiss*. Absolutely loved the show, more thoughts below.

TALK

Okay, I was NOT expecting to be vibing so hard for an opener. TALK really is it, I’m telling you. My favorite part of the set was his “croc throwing” bit. He legit chucks his crocs into the crowd, they throw it back and it’s a whole thing. Then someone else in the crowd kicked their crocs on stage for him to sign & then throw back. It was a whole ass event, all the while singing during the multiple croc interactions.

Additionally, his band matched his energy (as you can prob see in the photos below). I don’t even know if I have more words than the photos can show, so enjoy those por favor.

Milky Chance

Milky Chance…….underrated, if you ask me. They are an absolute JOY to witness live. It’s also not a bad thing they are just so adorable (wink wink Philip!). But crushes aside, the music is SO GOOD. And hearing them sing “Colorado” in between those two beautiful rocks = heaven. They even threw out rolling papers to the crowd before the song started (if you’re unfamiliar the song is about getting high in Colorado….). I would see them over and over and over and over if I could.

Young The Giant

Absolutely buzzing from this set & show. Not to mention it was during the night of the crazy moon everyone was talking about (you can see in photos but it honestly just looks like a backlight, womp womp). I’d seen them once before at a festival, but a headline tour set is so much different since they can fully make it their own and everyone is there specifically for them. To tell you how much fun I had, I last minute decided to go see them again the next night at Dillon Amphitheater; talk about a PCD that motivates you enough that you go back for more!
