On February 21, 2025, A R I Z O N A brought their electrifying show to Summit in Denver, Colorado. This being their last tour ever, it was amazing to finally get to see them headline – only to be sad after realizing it wouldn’t happen again. BUT Open State and Moody Joody kicked off the night, leaving the crowd eager for seeing that final set live.
Open State
With a knack for striking the ideal frequency for creativity and relaxation, OPENSTATE_ (James Beshara) transcends the boundaries of conventional music with subtle utilization of the right research-based frequencies and rhythms for relaxed flow-state throughout your day or night. With training in both classical and electronic genres, he has spent years mastering his craft and designing sound that inspires — sitting at the sublime intersection of vintage charm and electronic intricacy, reminiscent of a sound somewhere between Nils Frahm and Ratatat. A pioneer in the field of scientifically-designed music for flow, using techniques such as 528hz tuning, binaural beats, and isochronic tones, OPENSTATE_is becoming a go-to musician for those seeking an auditory experience that is designed to relax the body, engage the mind, and nourish the soul.

Moody Joody
Delivering high-gloss songcraft that stands out among their peers, Moody Joody has been steadily delivering alt-pop earworms since 2020, including “The Heat,” “Velvet Connection,” and “Ground Control.” Comprised of two solo artists who decided to join forces (singer/keyboardist Kayla Hall and singer/guitarist Kaitie Forbes) plus producer/keyboardist Andrew Pacheco, Moody Joody blend indie, classic rock, and Top 40 radio stylings from their home base of Nashville, Tennessee. With a focus on the feminine experience from their earliest songs (“The Heat,” “Must Be Nice,” “Dream Girl”), a Bleachers-esque adoration of sincerity and synths, HAIM-style close vocal harmonies, and a high-energy live show, the trio steadily amassed a buzz in the post-COVID mid-Southern scene. The 2023 single “Velvet Connection” struck a chord with listeners, and the trio received further exposure as an opening act for the indie group MisterWives. (Both groups collaborated on a reissue of MisterWives’ 2023 album Nosebleeds, featuring collabs with PVRIS, Meet Me @ the Altar, Pom Pom Squad, and Betty Who.) Moody Joody’s first EP Dream Girl was released in 2024, featuring singles “Velvet Connection,” “Ground Control,” and “Cuts Deep.”

A R I Z O N A
Despite their name, the trio that comprises A R I Z O N A doesn’t hail from the American southwest. Guitarist Nathan Esquite, vocalist Zachary Charles, and keyboardist David Labuguen are based in New Jersey but met in Boston, where the three musicians all spent time at Berklee College of Music and Emerson College. After moving back to their home state, they began jamming and developed an icy, stylish electro-pop. A R I Z O N A signed with Atlantic at the end of 2015, and as they worked on recording their first album in 2016, they released a series of singles including “Let Me Touch Your Fire,” “I Was Wrong,” and “Oceans Away.” Their debut, GALLERY, arrived in the spring of 2017. The following year saw the release of the group’s sophomore effort, No One Saw the Hot Air Balloon Show. Also in 2018, they issued the standalone single “What She Wants.” More singles arrived in 2019, including a guest feature on Avicii’s “Hold the Line” and the group’s own “Nostalgic.” Their second album ASYLUM arrived that October.
