FLETCHER
FLETCHER, born Cari Elise Fletcher on March 19, 1994, in Asbury Park, New Jersey, is a moody and stylish pop singer/songwriter known for her raw, queer perspective. Blending rock and electronic elements, her anthemic tracks resonate with a distinctive authenticity. She first gained widespread attention in 2015 when her single “War Paint” went viral. Following the success of that release, she debuted her first EP, Finding Fletcher, in 2016, which further solidified her place in the pop scene.
However, her real breakthrough came in 2019 with the release of “Undrunk,” a track from her You Ruined New York City for Me EP. This single marked her first entry on the Billboard pop charts and opened the door to greater visibility. In 2020, she followed up with The S(ex) Tapes EP, which reached number 11 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. Drawing from her personal experiences as a queer woman, FLETCHER’s emotionally charged lyrics continued to strike a chord with listeners.
By 2022, FLETCHER had reached new heights with the release of her debut album, Girl of My Dreams. This album not only reached number 15 on the Billboard 200 but also included standout tracks like “Becky’s So Hot” and “Her Body Is Bible,” where she explored themes of identity and past relationships. Collaborating with producers like Malay and Jennifer Decilveo, she showcased both vulnerability and strength, solidifying her status in the pop world.
In 2024, FLETCHER continued to evolve with the release of her sophomore album, In Search of the Antidote. With singles like “Lead Me On” and “Doing Better,” she built on her signature sound, proving once again that her powerful melodies and personal storytelling continue to deeply connect with her growing audience.
