On June 16, 2025, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, hosted an unforgettable evening as Lindsey Stirling took the stage, accompanied by the Colorado Symphony. The performance seamlessly blended Stirling’s dynamic violin and dance with the orchestra’s rich sound, creating a captivating experience that resonated with fans of all ages. This collaboration highlighted Stirling’s versatility and the symphony’s ability to adapt to contemporary genres, marking a significant moment in the summer concert season.


The Colorado Symphony

The Colorado Symphony is a premier American orchestra based in Denver, Colorado. Established in 1989 as the successor to the Denver Symphony Orchestra, it performs at Boettcher Concert Hall within the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The ensemble comprises 80 full-time musicians representing over a dozen nations, making it the region’s only full-time professional orchestra.

Under the leadership of Principal Conductor Peter Oundjian, who will officially assume the role of Music Director in the 2025–2026 season, the Colorado Symphony continues to deliver a diverse range of performances. Their 2025/26 season features collaborations with renowned artists such as Lang Lang, Ben Folds, Ingrid Michaelson, and Sutton Foster and Kelli O’Hara. Upcoming highlights include “The Music of John Williams” on June 29, 2025, and a performance with Beck at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 27, 2025 . These events underscore the orchestra’s commitment to blending classical traditions with contemporary music, enriching the cultural landscape of Colorado.

Lindsey Stirling

Lindsey Stirling is an American violinist, composer, and dancer known for her unique fusion of classical violin with electronic dance music. Born on September 21, 1986, in Santa Ana, California, she began playing the violin at age five and later studied at Brigham Young University. Lindsey Stirling gained national attention as a quarterfinalist on America’s Got Talent in 2010, where she was initially criticized for her unconventional style. Undeterred, she turned to YouTube, where her innovative music videos and performances garnered millions of views, leading to a dedicated global fanbase.

Since her breakthrough, Stirling has released multiple albums, including Shatter Me (2014), which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and Snow Waltz (2022), a holiday album that showcased her versatility. Her music has been featured in various media, including the 2024 Paris Olympics, where gymnast Suni Lee used Stirling’s composition “Eye of the Untold Her” for her floor routine. Beyond her musical endeavors, Stirling is an advocate for mental health awareness, sharing her personal journey of overcoming an eating disorder in her memoir, The Only Pirate at the Party. Currently, she continues to tour internationally, captivating audiences with her dynamic performances that blend classical technique with modern flair.
