Between Friends

Between Friends is an American indie-pop duo consisting of siblings Brandon and Savannah Hudson. Originally from Miami, Florida, they showed musical talent at a very young age, experimenting with songwriting and production. Their initial rise to national attention came in 2013 when they reached the quarterfinals of Season 8 of America’s Got Talent. Although their journey on the show ended early, the experience gave them exposure and the confidence to pursue music professionally.

Following the show, Brandon and Savannah formed the band The Heirs in 2015 with a drummer friend, performing at events such as the 2016 Vans Warped Tour. The band eventually disbanded in 2017, but the siblings regrouped to form Between Friends, focusing on a more electronic and synth-driven sound. Their debut EP, we just need some time together(2018), showcased their “laptop-dream pop” style—a mix of glitchy synths, introspective lyrics, and lush melodies.

The duo achieved breakout success with the single affection, which amassed over 210 million streams on Spotify by early 2025, propelling them to international recognition. Their follow-up projects, including albums like I Love My Girl, She’s My Boy (2023) and WOW! (2025), further solidified their place in the indie music landscape. Known for their intimate storytelling, Between Friends often explores themes of love, mental health, and personal growth.

Touring extensively, Between Friends has built a dedicated fanbase, connecting with listeners through both live performances and online content. Their music continues to evolve, combining electronic production techniques with heartfelt songwriting. Beyond music, Brandon and Savannah actively engage with fans on social media, sharing glimpses of their creative process and personal lives. As of 2025, the duo maintains over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, proving that their blend of nostalgia and modern indie-pop resonates with fans across generations.
