On September 18, Now Ex brought their dynamic energy to Schlachthof in Wiesbaden, Germany, for a night that fans won’t soon forget. The evening kicked off with rising talent Anny Ogrezeanu, whose set warmed up the crowd with captivating melodies and stage presence. Following their performance, Now Ex took the stage, delivering a powerful, engaging show that showcased their unique sound and left the audience buzzing long after the final note.
Anny Ogrezeanu
Anny Ogrezeanu is a German-Romanian singer who gained national recognition by winning the twelfth season of The Voice of Germany in 2022. Born on February 24, 2001, in Bonn, Anny identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. They grew up in Wachtberg near Bonn and have been involved in humanitarian efforts, notably volunteering in the Ahr Valley following the 2021 floods.
Anny’s journey to stardom began with a powerful audition of “I Will Always Love You,” which secured them a spot on Mark Forster’s team. Their performances throughout the competition, including “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” and “Not About Angels,” showcased their vocal prowess and emotional depth. In the finals, Anny delivered a memorable rendition of “Friday I’m in Love” with Mark Forster and “Daddy’s Eyes” with Zoe Wees, ultimately winning the competition with 41.61% of the public vote.
Following their victory, Anny collaborated with British singer Calum Scott on the single “Run With Me,” which charted in Germany. In 2024, they released the single “Out To Get Us,” continuing to build their presence in the pop music scene. Anny’s music resonates with fans through its emotional depth and authenticity, and they continue to perform at various events, sharing their unique voice with audiences across Germany.

Now Ex
Now Ex is the musical pseudonym of Nick Hampson, a London-based alt-pop artist and filmmaker. He began his musical journey as a child opera soloist, which laid the foundation for his expressive vocal style. During his university studies, Nick collaborated with producer Harry Brokensha, forming the duo that would evolve into Now Ex. The project emerged during the pandemic, quickly gaining attention with its cinematic pop sound and emotionally charged lyrics.
Now Ex’s debut EP, Sad Kids In America, showcased their unique blend of electronic beats and orchestral elements. The duo’s live performances in London garnered a dedicated following, setting the stage for their international debut. In June 2023, Now Ex made a significant impact in Germany with sold-out shows in Hamburg and Berlin. This momentum continued with an intimate acoustic set at London’s historic St Pancras Old Church, highlighting their versatility.
2024 marked a pivotal year for Now Ex with the “Welcome to the Feeling Tour,” encompassing 30 full-band performances across Germany, Prague, Malmö, Copenhagen, the UK, and Mexico City. This tour introduced the “Gold Era,” following the “Pink Era” of Welcome To The Feeling. The upcoming “In 2 Minds Tour” is set to further expand their global reach. Supported by placements on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Indie and airplay on BBC and RTE 1, Now Ex continues to captivate audiences worldwide with their innovative sound and storytelling.
