Cavetown & Mother Mother @ Red Rocks

Cavetown and Mother Mother put on an incredible show at Red Rocks on June 20th, 2024 in Morrison, CO. With Meet Me @ The Altar opening the evening, the crowd was moving in no time.

Meet Me @ The Altar

Meet Me @ The Altar is here to dismantle rock music’s stereotypes riff by riff. The band–comprised of guitarist-bassist Téa Campbell, drummer Ada Juarez and lead vocalist Edith Victoria–has reignited the genre with their refreshing mix of earworm pop melodies, blazing guitar riffs, and punk attitude. Now, the band is staking their claim in rock history with their debut album, Past // Present // Future, released via Fueled By Ramen on March 10th.

The record finds the bandmates experimenting more than ever as they solidify a signature sound while also ripping apart the “nostalgia act” box they didn’t ask to be placed in. Each word in the album title holds a significant meaning. “Past” pays respect to the iconic bands who’ve influenced them (including Paramore, Twenty One Pilots, P!NK, Demi Lovato, and Avril Lavigne). “Present” finds the band redefining what a modern-day rock band looks and sounds like, while “Future” looks ahead at how the band will impact the genre and where they might go from here.

Mother Mother

Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother are best known for their deep connection with their fans, and for bringing stadium-sized energy to their live show, no matter the stage. Singing about themes of alienation and enormous longing for self and societal acceptance, the band’s mission is to be a home for souls that feel they don’t fit in anywhere else.

The release of their critically acclaimed studio album INSIDE recently catapulted Mother Mother into a new stratosphere of universal success. Their explosive follow-up to “Hayloft,” “Hayloft II” connected with fans around the world. It is now certified Gold in the US and approaching Platinum in their home country of Canada. A string of #1 radio hits in Canada, 6 billion global streams, and Billboard chart appearances cement their newfound success. The quintet spent most of the last year touring the world playing to sold-out audiences in theaters to stadiums.

Cavetown

Since the age of 14, Cavetown has created self-produced songs both intensely diaristic and touched with offbeat imagination. Now 23, the Cambridge-based artist, otherwise known as Robin Skinner, has emerged as one of the preeminent voices in the DIY bedroom pop scene, with more than 1 billion global streams to date, including nearly 8 million monthly Spotify listeners and over 2 million YouTube subscribers. He did so without a viral hit or easy gimmicks, but rather pure heart, filling his YouTube channel and Bandcamp with a mix of covers and original music he wrote and self-recorded in his bedroom.

With the release of his 2018 breakthrough album Lemon Boy, Skinner’s unassuming yet captivating personality took the internet by storm. He has become a go-to collaborator for bedroom pop mainstays mxmtoon, Chloe Moriondo, and Tessa Violet. Skinner is now selling out major venues across the U.S. and U.K. as well as taking the stage at leading festivals like Lollapalooza and Reading & Leeds. In 2020, he unveiled his major label debut album, SLEEPYHEAD. This was followed by his most critically-acclaimed EP to date, Man’s Best Friend.
