Shania Twain @ Ball Arena

Shania Twain…..man let’s go GIIIIIIRL. She played an insanely amazing show on May 21, 2023 at Ball Arena. Hailey Whitters (CUTIE QUEEN) kicked off the night & set up that stage so beautifully for our girl Shania. We’ve got some show highlights and photo galleries for ya below.

Hailey Whitters

Hailey, who was recently announced as ACM New Female Artist of the Year (wahoo), was THE most adorable up on that stage in an arena full of people. This is my second time seeing her and fell even more in love with her. She wore the cutest adorable pink dress (I’m obsessed with anything pink) and strutted her stuff on that stage. After shooting the first 3 songs, I went to my seat (IN THE 6TH FREAKING ROW) and I believe we had a moment of me jamming and her noticing me in the crowd (at least that’s what I felt). She is absolutely lovely & please go see her on this tour as well as when she headlines!

Shania Twain

First, I need to address something. There was a TikTok where it said people were flowing out of Shania’s show & the comments were saying some negative things. I don’t want to glorify the negativity but am bringing it up to say that I have the most absolutely wonderful things to say about her show. It was THE best time & getting to sit 6th row was just the best. I never expected to be that close to the queen herself so it was an added bonus.

In terms of the show, Shania started out her set IN THE CROWD. I believe she was on some sort of rolling device as it took her from one side of the floor to the other. All while singing her heart out. I will forever say that I love when artists do this to give those who can’t afford those front tickets a chance to be up close and personal with them.

Throughout the show, the drinks were flowing as well as the dancing. I did plop a squat a few times – but that is because I chose to wear the most uncomfortable shoes and needed to give myself a break. You best BELIEVE that I was still dancing and vibing along to each and every song. One of the highlights for me, aside from Shania, were her 2 backup dancers (I believe also singers?). Their energy sent me through the ROOOOOOF.

*shitty iPhone video but to show you the wonderful dancing*

Shania specific: she brought about 10-15 fans on stage and took the time to take pictures with all of them. They got to stay on stage for the entirety of the song. This fan experience is TO DIE FOR. Anytime someone who is not in the celebrity life gets to experience what that’s like, even if just for a song or a moment, is priceless. And, get this. On top of that, during another song she brought a DIFFERENT fan on stage (Patrick). I believe the intention was for them to duet the song, but he was too nervous to sing and kept saying “this isn’t real.” Patrick is me, I am Patrick (well, I can’t sing but you get my drift).

Of course I can say all the basic: “her voice was great,” “the production kicked ass,” and such. I mean, they did. But we just had to highlight the attention to fans because what is better than making peoples days, weeks, months, years, lives?!?!?!

To sum it all up: go see Shania Twain, I’m telling ya!
