On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Denver’s gorgeous Paramount Theater hosted a night that was equal parts dreamy and electric with X Ambassadors headlining and Delacey warming up the stage. From the jump, the whole evening felt like one of those “pinch me” concerts—where the venue, the artists, and the vibes all collide into something kinda magical. This wasn’t just another night out in Denver; it was the type of show that makes you remember why live music is such a soul reset.
Delacey
Delacey opened the night with a set that leaned slower than what I usually gravitate toward at a live show, but there was something about her presence that was instantly captivating. Her voice was smooth and soulful, and she had a way of drawing the room in with both vulnerability and warmth.
One of the standout moments was when she introduced her song “Lipstick,” written about her grandmother who has passed away. She became emotional while sharing the story, repeatedly apologizing for letting those feelings spill over—but honestly, it was those raw emotions that made her performance so moving. Delacey, if you ever stumble across this review: please don’t hold back. It’s okay to cry and let the music carry your heart. That honesty was a gift, and it made for a truly beautiful set.

X Ambassadors
When X Ambassadors took the stage, the energy shifted completely—bursting open with life, rhythm, and a sense of joy that immediately filled the theater. For me, this show wasn’t just about entertainment; it was about healing. Music used to be an escape for me, but somewhere along the way it’s transformed into something deeper: a space that brings me through healing. That’s exactly what this set felt like—restorative, uplifting, and full of moments that reminded me to just be present.
One of the most powerful songs of the night was “Fragile.” Hearing the lyrics—
“But lately I’ve been feelin’ fragile
Like if you touch me in the wrong way, I might break
I feel like life is just a battle
And I’m so tired of tryna fight the feelin’ away”
—hit me in a way I wasn’t fully prepared for. I’ve been moving through a season of recalibrating my life, letting go of relationships, and doing the messy work of processing emotions. Those words captured exactly what I’ve been feeling: the exhaustion, the vulnerability, and the quiet strength it takes to just keep going. It was one of those moments where live music reaches right into your chest and doesn’t let go.
I also found myself reflecting on how easy it is, with the pace of my work and the sheer number of shows I cover, to forget how to enjoy. I’ve fallen into the habit of leaving early—rushing home to rest or dive back into other responsibilities. But I’ve been trying to fight against that urge and stay in the moment. This show was the perfect reminder of why. I stayed until the very end (minus ducking out before the final bow because the bathroom line was calling my name), and I left with a full heart, smiling from ear to ear.
X Ambassadors delivered a set that was not only musically excellent but also deeply restorative. It was the kind of night that didn’t just entertain—it healed. I walked out of Paramount Theater lighter, brighter, and profoundly grateful.
