is that my bestie in a tessie? guys, going to a show with your best friend is one of the greatest gifts of concert-going. july 4 weekend? EVEN BETTER. we got to go see a whole SLEW of fab country artists for 98.5 KYGO Bday Bash show at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre just outside Denver, CO. Chris Young. Walker Hayes. Mitchell Tenpenny. Morgan Wade. & Callista Clark.
Callista Clark & Morgan Wade
I didn’t get any photos of these lovely ladies BUT Callista Clark reminds me of that young spunky on the up and up artist who is paving the way. Morgan Wade was a VIIIIIBE. Her tattoos, her like “no fucks” attitude & just there to play and put on a good show. We love women in the music industry paving the way! YOU GO GIRLS.
Mitchell Tenpenny
I have loved Mitchell since he graced the airwaves on the radio a few years ago, and especially after obsessing over Alcohol You Later (which is the best song & play on words, I CAN’T). As you can see below, Mitchell interacted with fans (you know i love a crowd interaction) & brought out Broncos player Dalton Risner to enjoy a beverage together during his set. We love a cameo!!!

Walker Hayes
MKAY!!!!! I’d never seen Walker play a show before, just been a fan of his ever since he was on Off the Vine w/ Kaitlyn Bristowe. He was absolutely incredible. His presence is a joy. We spotted him pop out of the backstage door to see the crowd, and even waved to a few fans (I mean, how freaking cool is that – you don’t see that often). Then he came out to perform and was just so humble, genuine and also incredibly attractive (you guys, that jaw line, OKAYYYYYY). I know he is married, just enjoying from afar. Anyways, he also brought up and sang his song, Craig. If you don’t know the story of Craig, it is incredible. Craig is a pastor who gave Walker (at the time an alcoholic) and his family a van (he has 6 kids) so they could all get around. Short version: Craig helped Walker and his family know Jesus. I absolutely love that he uses his platform to tell his testimony and share the gospel (but in no way forcing it on anyone). What an absolutely stunning man.

Chris Young
For the amount of times I’ve met Chris Young when I lived in Nashville (he’s loves to frequent the bar scene), I had never actually seen him live. And what a blow away performance it was. I loved the night time outdoor set, with the lights & moon & production value. And his voice was just buttah. He also said he just turned 37 and he does NOT look it. If you’re looking for some genuine, good old fashioned country, Chris is your guy. Oh, and him and Mitchell just released a song together so they sang it together. What cutie patooties.
