Lake Street Dive w/ The Colorado Symphony @ Red Rocks

Lake Street Dive played with The Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks on July 21st, 2024. What an absolutely incredible show.

A newb to the Lake Street Dive hype, I was absolutely floored by how amazing their live show was. From dope laser lights on stage to incredible vocals to the magic of the symphony…it was a show to remember. Lead singer, Rachel Price, made a comment during the set about how they’ve been a band for 20 years. This led me to an emotional moment FOR them – getting to play to a sold out Red Rocks after hustling & grinding for that long. Just a beautiful message that perseverance reaps rewards.

I also have to shout out their incredible attire. Price rocked a shimmery/sparkly silver dress that was shining brightly while she swayed and danced about the entire set. Her energy was infectious to watch and really boosted my mood along with the music. Bridget Kearney, who plays the stand up bass & is a founding member of the band, was rocking some HOT PINK booties. If you know me, you know I am a sucker for hot pink. SO, stealing those boots? YAAAAS PLZ (for legal purposes, this is a JOKE!!!!). Lastly, guitarist & background vocalist, James Cornelison, was rocking the shiniest pants I have ever seen. A silvery/dark grey look, they were definitely a sight to see. All of this to say, I LOVED IT!!!

To close out the incredible evening, the whole band gathered around their “bar” that they had on stage & commemorated an incredible show by all taking shots together. The crowd gave a cheers along with them, screaming in celebration that we all were there collectively singing & enjoying the magic that is Lake Street Dive.
