Ava Max brought her tour to Denver on June 28, 2023 at Summit Denver. The evening started out with Band of Silver followed by The Scarlet Opera.

They may be a sibling trio out of Nashville, but there’s nothing country about Band of Silver. Specializing in addictive, arena-ready anthems that blur the lines between vintage rock, 80’s new wave, and modern pop, the breakout three-piece has built a reputation for explosive, electrifying performances that hint at everything from Def Leppard and Madonna to Weezer and Panic! At The Disco.

While the Silvernagel siblings officially started Band of Silver in high school, their musical roots stretch back far deeper. As a youngster, Evan picked up the drums, while his brother Alex played any instrument he could get his hands on. Avery joined a little later, when she discovered a passion for singing during her teenage years, and the three quickly began writing original material and performing across the country.

The Scarlet Opera

The Scarlet Opera, originally formed as Perta, is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Its members include Luka Bazulka (Lead Vocalist), Colin Kendrick (Pianist), Daniel Zuker (Bassist), Justin Siegal (Drummer), and Chance Taylor (Guitarist).

In 2016, Colin Kendrick met fellow CalArts alum Luka (née Matthew) Bazulka at a warehouse party in Los Angeles. After hearing the vocalist perform a solo set, Kendrick decided to form a band around Bazulka’s story and voice. Following this, he brought along longtime friends Daniel Zuker, Justin Siegal, and Chance Taylor to round out their newly formed music group. Soon they became inseparable, taking camping trips and working on music in Kendrick’s childhood bedroom in Calabasas.

After a brief hiatus, the band reinvented itself in 2022 as “The Scarlet Opera.” The name derives itself from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter. According to the band, it stands for the misunderstood and the misrepresented. “The music, the shows, the glamour are all devoted to the outcasts, to the sexually liberated, to those who don’t come from wealth, to those who are divine.”

Ava Max

Amanda Ava Koci (born Amanda Koçi), known professionally as Ava Max, is an American singer and songwriter. She signed with Atlantic Records in 2016, through which she released her breakthrough single, “Sweet but Psycho”, in August 2018. The song peaked at number one in 22 countries, and reached number two and number 10 on the Australian ARIA Charts and US Billboard Hot 100, respectively. In March 2020, Max released the song, “Kings & Queens”, which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart. Following this was the release of her debut studio album, Heaven & Hell, in September 2020, which charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and at number 27 on the US Billboard 200. In November 2020, the song “My Head & My Heart” was released, which peaked at number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 18 on the UK Singles Chart. Max released her second studio album, Diamonds & Dancefloors, on January 27, 2023.
